A STOL or climb prop is great for hunting, hauling, short field work. This prop pulls really hard from zero to 40 mph before thrust starts to decrease. It is designed to get you off the ground in the shortest distance. These props climb well at a slow speed with a heavy load. You do sacrifice speed in cruise for the strong acceleration of the line.
A good all around prop is a good balance between the two. The diameter is smaller than the STOL prop and a little higher pitch. It will take longer to get off the ground, this prop will climb better at a faster speed and give you a few extra mph in cruise.
Cruise prop will be designed to improve cruise speed at a lower RPM and burn less fuel for those long cross countries.
320/150hp
STOL:
Diameter: 84" Pitch: 35"-36"
Good All Around:
Diameter: 82" Pitch 38"
Cruise:
Diameter: 82" Pitch 39" or 80"x43"
320/Stock 160+HP
STOL:
Diameter: 84" Pitch: 37"
Good All Around:
Diameter: 82" Pitch 39"
Cruise:
Diameter: 82" Pitch 40" or 80"x44"
We can build any size do if you'd like a different pitch than what is listed above we can manufacture it for you!
The structure of our blade is carbon. We use wood as a core material that dampens harmonics and absorbs vibration which is great for the engine. The carbon allows us to get a really thin blade profile, keep it light weight and it is very durable. Everything is cut on a CNC for precision accuracy. We use electroformed nickel leading edge protection which will prevent erosion and nicks.
We do require a 7" crush plate when installing our propeller. This will disburse the torque evenly over the surface of the hub. The 320 can use 3/8" or 7/16" bolts so please let us know what you need your prop drilled.
We can supply spacers or extensions if you need, just let us know what length.
Most Cubs use 12" spinner. The bulkhead can flange forward or aft depending on how the cowling was fit. We also carry other sizes if you need.
Our spinner dome is manufactured out of carbon. They are vacuum infused so they are very light weight and balanced. The front bulkhead is mounted in the front of the spinner and has a cylinder that protrudes aft and self-centers in the center hole of the crush plate. We use an aluminum rear bulkhead. We fit them to the propeller and do all the finish work for you. The clear is the most common so you can see the carbon weave but we can paint them as well.
